Biography

Ashling Oertzen was called to Bar in Belfast in September 2012. Ashling completed her Law degree at Queen’s University, Belfast, and spent a year at the University of Salamanca studying European Union Law in which she has a keen interest. She completed her pupillage under a Practitioner of family law, however she also experienced many other areas of law including criminal, medical negligence and commercial law. Ashling has a very keen interest in languages and is fluent in Spanish and German as well as speaking French which she taught for many years before coming to the Bar.

LL.B Law and Hispanic Studies - Queen’s University, Belfast and Universidad de Salamanca.

LL.M Translation Studies - Queen’s University, Belfast and Universidad de Alicante specialising in Legal Translation.
