Michael O’Brien BL was called to the Bar in 2008. He began his practice in Employment Law and continues to practice in this area.
In more recent years, he had focused his practice on Civil Law, Family Law and Judicial Review.
In Family Law, he has extensively experience advising and representing private clients particular in cases involving children including private applications, Care Proceedings and Freeing Applications.
In Civil Law, he has practised in a wide variety of cases including personal injury matters, contract law, and in equitable matters, land law and probate.
He has practised in Judicial Review/Administrative Law proceedings, representing his clients in applications against various public bodies, particularly where applicant’s human rights are engaged.
