Ross was called to the Bar in 2024 after completing his pupillage with an experienced chancery and commercial practitioner.
Before being called to the Bar, Ross qualified as a solicitor and practiced in Northern Ireland for a number of years, gaining experience in private practice and as in-house counsel for a construction and civil engineering company. With nearly 10 years experience working within the legal sector, Ross now accepts instructions across all practice areas, but has a particular interest in commercial law, land law, licensing, personal injury and probate.
Ross is also a member of the junior counsel bank for BSO Legal Services (DLS), which provides legal services to the public health and social care sector in Northern Ireland.

Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Professional Legal Studies, Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University, Belfast;
Admitted as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland;

Called to the Bar of Northern Ireland.
Experience
Land Law:
Resolving landlord-tenant disputes, for example, dilapidations claims and applications under the Business Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 1996;
Conducting property due diligence;
Drafting and negotiating commercial leases;
Title rectification; and
Advising on boundary disputes, rights of way, and adverse possession claims.
Private Client:
Drafting and advising on Wills;
The Administration of Estates; and
Advising on and preparing both Controllership applications and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
During his tenure as a Solicitor, Ross was also a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Construction Law:
Advising on the drafting, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of construction and engineering documentation;
Handling building contracts, sub-contracts, and professional appointments tailored to clients’ needs across various sectors;
Expertise in standard forms of contract, including NEC3, NEC4, and JCT, and adapting them to specific project requirements and risk mitigation; and
Advising on security documentation, including collateral warranties, performance bonds, and parent company guarantees, to safeguard client interests and ensure compliance with project funding and delivery obligations.
